Heroes Just For One Day
Latest from Chris Simon and Sonia Mansour is a Peter Gabriel-David Bowie-Nelson Mandela tribute video. Chris’ concept, other than being a tribute to many heroes, is about liberty, protection of human rights and freedom. It features Peter Gabriel’s 2010 haunting performance of the famous Bowie song. The final comes crashing down with The Fall Of The Berlin Wall and The (continuing) Rise Of Ziggy Stardust. (Think about Bowie’s notion of the alien pop star and think about Lady Gaga!).The video lovingly restores and adds motion design to photographs, using Premiere, Photoshop Elements and 2d Animation. Smaller screen ratio purposely designed to complement original 4:3 views of Berlin, TV News, etc. I did not want to stretch images, but I did want «horizontal holds» on authentic history reels-restored to a much higher res.

Second version of Heroes performed Live by Robert Fripp with King Crimson as a Heroes Tribute to David Bowie at The USA Chicago House of Blues late October 2000 and never officially released, but available now for paid download and use at the dgmlive site.
Main theme and unique 2010 interpretation of Heroes performed and sung by Peter Gabriel with The London Scratch Orchestra led by Louisa Fuller, 2010. From the 2010 new Peter Gabriel record Scratch My Back. Produced by Peter Gabriel with Bob Ezrin. Peter Gabriel has been touring the world with this show and many triumphant performances already recorded across Europe.
This video is supposed to be categorised as non-profit causes, charities, activist; – wherever possible. (Since the essential theme is about defending human rights and veiled tributes to unsung heroes such as firefighters and rescuers during natural disasters).
